Divisions
Mechanical
The mechanical team’s responsibility is to develop the overally design of the robot. Using Pro/Engineer Wildfire 2 and Autodesk Inventor 10, the mechanical team designs the robot, runs stress analysis on parts and creates a complete assembly of the robot It is then their responsibility to assemble and fix the robot.
Electrical
Members of the electrical team are responsible for maintaining the Pulse Width Modulation control system which allows untethered remote manipulation of the robot and all subsystems. This includes electrical board development and component requirement analysis.
Software
The software team is responsible for developing and debugging code for the robot. All components are to be included and properly considered based on strategical analysis. Memebers must also develop, test, and tweak autonomous code based on various scenarios.
Graphics & Animation
This team is responsible for both product and team visual recognition. They utilize their graphic design skills to construct an image for the robotics team. This includes letterhead, logos, animation, posters, etc. All produced material must adequately support the robotics team in a professional manner.
SigmaC@T Opponent Analysis Program (SOAP)
SOAP is responsible for assisting team stratedy through in-depth scouting information. SOAP also maintains a database containing such scouting information and match videos for all teams to use at their disposal. SOAP acts as an ambassador for the rest of the team because of the interactions made between SOAP and every other team at any regional we attend.
Spirit
This division is in charge of promoting the SigmaC@T organization at the competitions. We all have spirit, but members specifically apart of this division excercise the ability to collectively organize the team's level of intensity with regard to team spirit.
